Charity Baking Evening
Great news! Today, the first Caretta Caretta hatchlings of the season were born! 💚 To celebrate this special moment, I’d like to remind you about our Charity Baking Evening, taking place on Monday and Tuesday (July 13 & 14). 🍪 Together, we’ll learn how to make adorable turtle-shaped cookies from scratch in a professional training kitchen, guided by two professional chefs. During the evening you’ll enjoy: ✨ hands-on baking; ☕ tea and friendly conversations; 🤝 meeting new people; ❤️ and, most importantly, your participation will help fund protective metal cages for Caretta Caretta nests. You can join either day or attend both evenings. 💰 Participation fee: 600 TL. 🎁 Want a 100 TL discount? When you register, send me a private message and I’ll send you a fun quiz question. Answer correctly and you’ll receive a 100 TL discount!
Lavender Workshop for Charity

This Tuesday, June 30th at 6:00 PM, I invite everyone to meet at Bıdı Bıdı Beach Café to discuss our July eco plans. July is the month of the global Plastic Free July movement: https://www.plasticfreejuly.org/pledge/ You can make your own personal pledge or join our community pledge. After seeing how many plastic bags and plastic pieces are washing up on our beaches, we decided to focus on one simple challenge: ♻️ July without plastic bags. Our goal is to use reusable shopping bags instead. I’m personally joining this challenge too, and in July I will also organize a crochet workshop to teach how to make your own reusable market bag 🧶 At the meeting we’ll discuss ideas, events, and plan our July community calendar together. Come join us 💚 Let’s make our beaches and our planet cleaner together.
SUNDAY, JUNE 21 INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
YOGA & BREAKFAST BY THE SEA 📍 La Boheme Beach, Gazipaşa Join us for a relaxing morning by the sea with family, friends, and our local community. 🧘♀️ From 10:00 to 11:00, enjoy a combined Yoga + Pilates session led by certified instructor Aylin Sözen. ☕ Complimentary tea and coffee will be provided by La Boheme Beach. 🥗 After the class, we will enjoy a community breakfast together. You are invited to a family event on the beach dedicated to the protection of sea turtles and the nature of our coastline. Date: May 23, 16:00 Location: Bıdı Bıdı beach Program: ✨ Shell jewelry-making workshop. All materials provided. Registration required. Participation fee: 200 TL. Take the jewelry home. 🎨 Plaster figurine painting workshop. Figurines and paints provided. 200 TL per person. Take the painted figurine home.
Bus Fare Increase
The city minibus now costs 42 TL in cash. A ride to Alanya will cost 180 TL.
Youth and Sports Festival
At 20:30 on Selinus beach near Halk Büfe, there will be an Oğuz Aksaç concert. At 19:30, a festive torchlight procession will start from Ahmet Tuncer School (on the seafront road).
